Together We Give

Trident Technical College employees are passionate about the success of their students and believe that when they come together, they can make a tangible impact on their future.

Sixty-one percent of faculty and staff demonstrated their commitment and dedication to students by raising more than $47,000 during this year's  Employee Giving Campaign

In alignment with the college's strategic plan to improve student year-to-year retention, the campaign focus was on funding for student scholarships, which has been shown to increase student retention.

Employees celebrated the campaign launch with an afternoon of karaoke and ice cream at the T ogether We Sing campaign kickoff event, where they were entertained by their coworkers singing songs by Bon Jovi, Olivia Newton-John, Donna Summer and Sister Sledge. For the sixth year in a row, the campaign was sponsored by  Tony Pope State Farm Insurance.

Full-time faculty and staff were randomly assigned to teams, led by 16 employee  volunteer captains . Teams competed to achieve the highest participation level and to win a coveted pizza party with TTC President, Dr. Vicky Wood, with pizza generously provided by TTC alumnus Ben D'Allesandro, owner of  D'Allesandro's Pizza

With 71% participation, the winning team was led by Marshall Connor, TTC's Dean of Dorchester Campus and Assistant VP of Economic Development and Continuing Education.

"Being able to help people achieve their goals and realize their dreams is very rewarding, something that very few people can say about their jobs," said Connor. "I support the Employee Giving Campaign to ensure that more students have the opportunity to achieve their dreams."

The TTC Foundation Employee Giving Campaign represents a long-standing tradition of employees going above and beyond their regular job responsibilities to assist students. Since 1980, TTC employees have consistently shown up for students, both in and out of the classroom. Their collective contributions throughout the years, totaling $1.7 million, are a testament to their unwavering commitment to fostering a supportive and empowering learning environment at Trident Technical College.
